Guest Post: A little Poem for kindergarten kids
A DAY IN WINTERS:
In my last post I discussed the joy of a winter evening. The warmth of a quilt and the way to enjoy it while watching something interesting. But the winter vacations are over. With new year the schools have started and so has begun the daily runt in homes- of sleepy kids and parents trying get them ready for school.
Today I present here a little poem which will remind you of your school days and is perhaps the story in all our homes on a cold winter day.
The poem has been written by my brother for his daughter’s (that’s my niece) school poem recital competition. So enjoy:
ON A COLD SCHOOL DAY
Just as I enter my dream heaven
I hear a voice- Get up Dear
It’s half-past seven
From the warmth of quilt I say
It is too early-
The Sun is at bay
Hurry up fast, everyone says
Breakfast is ready on the plate
Why so quick I say
It is winter, the school opens late
Grandpa, Grandma, Mommy and Daddy
Everyone, close your eyes
In a flash I am ready
To their surprise.
With huff and puff
Aunt admires her little princess
It took quite a while
To put me in school dress
